Meet Plum and Bees
Handmade beeswax food wrap in Saint Laurent les Églises in the Limousin region.
Behind the Plum and Bees brand is Chittima, nicknamed “Plum,” an entrepreneurial mother of Thai origin who has lived in nearly every corner of the world: Asia, America, and Europe. In 2019, her family of four left Bangkok to settle in the charming village of Saint-Laurent-les-Églises.
After settling in, Chittima learned to cultivate her first salads and tomatoes. She also took part in establishing her first beehive at the bottom of her in-laws’ garden in Auziat. Embracing nature more and more, she came to realize how easily we tend to consume and create a lot of waste.
The concept of BEE WAX WRAP / BEEWRAPS has gained popularity in North America, Australia, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom. Upon discovering this ingenious solution, she quickly recognized its potential to replace plastic food wrap and reduce waste. These natural wraps not only contribute to eco-friendly living but also extend the freshness of our foods, fruits, and vegetables. An excellent way to care for our planet while preserving our delightful and appetizing treats.
After experimenting with various recipes, she founded her sole proprietorship in November 2019. Plum and Bees’ Beewraps are crafted with special care.
Her recipe is 100% natural, it composes of :
- pre-washed Oeko-Tex cotton fabric
- beeswax from Limousin
- pine resin
- organic coconut oil.
Upon receiving Plum and Bees Beewraps, the delightful aroma of organic coconut oil fills the air. It immediately sparks the irresistible urge to try them out, wrapping our bowls, fruits, vegetables, leftover cake, and all the culinary delights in the kitchen. What a delight!
Easy to care
Once washed, it dries quickly. Reusable over 100 times.
